Quote: "The restoration work is ongoing... At the same time, the dam is being repaired. There will be more water. It is planned to resume full water supply from the Karlivka Reservoir by mid-July."
Details: Kuleba has said that only two settlements, Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, have managed to restore centralised water supply so far, but the water is still only for technical use there. In the near future, the pump will be switched on for a test run and drinking water will be pumped into the system.
Background:
On 25 May, Russian forces destroyed the dam of the Karlivka Reservoir near Avdiivka with artillery attacks. Several settlements with a population of 981 people have ended up under the threat of flooding.
