Ukraine's Interior Minister introduces new commander of National Guard
Ihor Klymenko, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, has introduced the new commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pivnenko.

Quote from Klymenko: "Colonel Pivnenko has relevant combat experience. He is a former commander of a separate special forces unit of the National Guard of Ukraine, which defended the city of Kharkiv and participated in the counteroffensive in Slobozhanshchyna (Ukraine's northeast – ed.)
After that, he led the 3rd Operational Brigade Spartan – one of our brigades of the Offensive Guard. And after returning from the city of Bakhmut, he headed the Eastern Territorial Directorate of the National Guard of Ukraine."
Details: The Minister wished the new commander inspiration and strength. Klymenko noted that the new head of the National Guard, like his predecessor, should focus on training the brigades of the Offensive Guard and on the effective use of the already formed units.
Background: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed Oleksii Pivnenko as Commander of the National Guard.
