Lithuania launches fundraising for anti-drone systems for Ukraine: gift for Ukraine's Independence Day
Lithuanian journalist and activist Andrius Tapinas has announced a new fundraiser to support Ukraine by purchasing and delivering SkyWiper Omni anti-drone systems for Ukraine's Independence Day [24 August].

Details: Tapinas has announced a €500,000 fundraising drive to purchase SkyWiper Omni anti-drone systems and RISE-1 remote detonation systems. The Lithuanian defence industry manufactures both the former and the latter.
On the eve of NATO summit in Vilnius Lithuanians want to send the message: We do not sleep. We did not tire to help Ukraine.

We start raising 500K to buy antidrone systems SkyWiper Omni and remote explosive initiators RISE-1
Both are made by Lithuanian defence industry
SkyWiper Omni is a mobile system designed to jam the signals of hostile drones.
The equipment will be delivered to units operating near Bakhmut and on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
"Deadline of delivery - Independence Day of Ukraine (24th August) … On the eve of NATO summit in Vilnius Lithuanians want to send the message: We do not sleep. We did not tire to help Ukraine," Tapinas stressed.
Background: Earlier, at the initiative of Tapinas (Laisvės TV) and several other civic initiatives in Lithuania, €5 million was raised for Bayraktar attack drones for Ukraine, as well as €14 million for air defence radar systems.
