Quote: "This official is involved in financing Russian armed aggression against Ukraine. The total value of the assets of the deputy of the Russian Federation being blocked is more than UAH 180 million.
First and foremost, this is the seizure of assets belonging to an agricultural holding controlled by Zotov which is located on the territory of Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson oblasts. These are production and storage facilities covering an area of more than 13,000 square metres, 16 cars, and almost UAH 4 million [approx. USD $108,372 – ed.] in bank accounts."
Details: The investigation by the Security Service of Ukraine showed that Zotov had been directing part of his profits to support occupation groups fighting against Ukraine.
He also launched an information campaign in Russia that gave extensive coverage of his businesses’ provision of "humanitarian food aid" to the Russian military at the front.
Information about the aid can be found on his Telegram channel and his page on Vkontakte, a social media site that is banned in Ukraine. Information about assistance to the invaders has also been posted on his corporation’s official website.
Zotov was served with a notice of suspicion in absentia under Art. 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Financing of actions committed with the aim of changing the borders of the territory or state border of Ukraine in violation of the procedure established by the Constitution of Ukraine).
