UK Defence Secretary advocates simplified accession to NATO for Ukraine
Ben Wallace, Secretary of State for Defence of the United Kingdom, believes that Ukraine should be able to "skip" the NATO Membership Action Plan on its way to joining the Alliance.

Quote: "I think we should absolutely look at skipping the Membership Action Plan," Wallace said.
Details: At the same time, the UK defence secretary admitted that not all issues related to Ukraine's accession to NATO would be quickly resolved.
He also considers it unlikely that all the issues regarding security guarantees for Ukraine will be resolved before the NATO summit in Vilnius, which will be held in July.
