28 combat engagements over past 24 hours – General Staff report
On 23 June, 28 combat engagements took place between the Ukrainian and Russian forces.

Quote: "Last night, the enemy launched another volley of missile and air strikes on Ukraine; detailed information will be released later.
Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched a missile and air strike on Ukraine, using 14 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and 3 Shahed drones. They attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia with four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles.
Air defence forces have destroyed 14 missiles and 2 drones. A Russian Ka-52 attack helicopter and 7 reconnaissance UAVs have also been destroyed.
In addition, the enemy performed 51 air strikes and 59 strikes using multiple-launch rocket systems. Unfortunately, there are civilian casualties.
The risk of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.
The enemy is focusing its main efforts on the Lyman, Avdiivka and Marinka fronts, with over 28 combat engagements taking place over the last day."
Details: On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation remains without significant changes.
On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, the Russians launched an airstrike near the villages of Pavlivka in Sumy Oblast and Hatyshche and Pletenivka in Kharkiv Oblast. The Russian units performed mortar and artillery attacks on the settlements of Karpovychi, Karabany and Mykhalchyna Sloboda in Chernihiv Oblast; Seredyna-Buda, Shalyhyne, Popivka, Atynske, Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyne, Pavlivka, Stukalivka, Obody and Kindrativka in Sumy Oblast; and Huriv Kozachok, Udy, Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, Oliinykove, Neskuchne, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Nesterne, Pletenivka, Budarky, Zemlianky, Ozerne, Vilkhuvatka, Chuhunivka and Topoli in Kharkiv Oblast.
On the Kupiansk front, the settlements of Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupiansk, Masiutivka, Kyslivka and Berestove in Kharkiv Oblast came under artillery and mortar fire.
On the Lyman front, the Russian invaders carried out unsuccessful offensives towards the village of Vesele and south of the village of Dibrova. They carried out airstrikes in and around Nevske in Luhansk Oblast and Bilohorivka and Siversk in Donetsk Oblast. Russian units shelled the settlements of Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast and Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne and Rozdolivka in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Bakhmut front, the Russians carried out airstrikes in and around Khromove, Ivanivske, Pervomaiske and Predtechyne. The settlements of Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Pivdenne and New-York in Donetsk Oblast suffered from Russian artillery shelling.
On the Avdiivka front, the Russians conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Avdiivka, Donetsk Oblast. They carried out airstrikes in and around Novokalynove, Ocheretyne, Nevelske, Avdiivka and Sieverne. Russian forces shelled the settlements of Berdychi, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Karlivka and Nevelske in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Marinka front, the Russians carried out offensive operations near Marinka, but failed to achieve anything. Russian forces shelled the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Heorhiivka in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Shakhtarsk front, the Russians conducted unsuccessful offensives near Vuhledar and Zolota Nyva. They performed air strikes in and around Zolota Nyva, Storozheve, Makarivka and Blahodatne in Donetsk Oblast. The settlements of Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Blahodatne, Vilne Pole, Zelene Pole, Novopil, Vodiane, Vuhledar and Storozheve in Donetsk Oblast came under Russian shelling.
On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, the Russians continue to conduct defensive operations, focusing their main efforts on preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops. They tried to retake their lost positions near Makarivka in Donetsk Oblast. Russian units carried out air strikes near the settlements of Novodanylivka, Orikhiv and Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast and Vesele, Kozatske and Antonivka in Kherson Oblast. The settlements of Novodarivka, Temyrivka, Levadne, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Huliaipilske, Charivne, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Novodanylivka, Omelnyk, Chervona Krynytsia, Preobrazhenka, Orikhiv, Yehorivka, Novoandriivka, Stepove and Piatykhatky in Zaporizhzhia Oblast; Prydniprovske and Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, and Kachkarivka, Respublikanets, Kozatske, Shliakhove, Burhunka, Zolota Balka, Dudchany, Ivanivka, Molodizhne, Bilozerka, Romashkove, Antonivka, Zelenivka, Kherson, Zymivnyk, Dniprovske, Yantarne, Berehove, Veletenske in Kherson Oblast came under attacks.
Over the last 24 hours, the Ukrainian Air Force has carried out 13 strikes on clusters of Russian personnel.
Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery hit 4 clusters of Russian manpower, weapons and military equipment, 15 artillery units at firing positions, 2 electronic warfare stations and 5 air defence systems over the past day.
