More than 30 combat clashes between Ukraine's defenders and Russian forces in one day – General Staff report

There were more than 30 combat clashes between the defence forces of Ukraine and the Russian occupying forces on four fronts on 22 June.

Over the past day, the enemy launched missile and air strikes on the territory of Ukraine, using 3 Kh-47 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, three Kh-22 cruise missiles and four Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. Three kamikaze drones were destroyed by air defence units.

In addition, the enemy launched 49 airstrikes and carried out about 50 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka fronts – more than 30 combat clashes occurred there over the past day."

Details: On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, there were no significant changes in the operational situation.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, Russia carried out an airstrike on Ohirtseve and Pletenivka in Kharkiv Oblast. Russian forces deployed artillery and mortars to attack the settlements of Novovasylivka, Stepne, Vorozhba, Kindrativka, Andriivka, Pysarivka, Nova Sich, Slavhorod (Sumy Oblast), as well as Udy, Veterynarne, Hraniv, Kozacha Lopan, Pletenivka, Tykhe, Varvarivka, Budarky, Chuhunivka, Ambarne (Kharkiv Oblast).

On the Kupiansk front, Russians tried to advance near Synkivka, but had no success. They launched an airstrike on Kyslivka. Odradne, Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Masiutivka, Kyslivka and Berestove (Kharkiv Oblast) came under Russian artillery and mortar fire.

On the Lyman front, the Russians conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast). They launched airstrikes near Nevske (Luhansk Oblast) and Ivanivka, Torske, Bilohorivka, Dibrova and Spirne (Donetsk Oblast). Nevske, Dibrova, Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast) and Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka (Donetsk Oblast) came under artillery shelling.

On the Bakhmut front, Russians launched airstrikes in the areas of Bohdanivka, Bila Hora, and Pivnichne (Donetsk Oblast). Rai-Oleksandrivka, Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozaryanivka, Pivdenne and New-York (Donetsk Oblast) were affected by Russian attacks.

On the Avdiivka front, the Russians conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near Sievierne and Avdiivka. They launched airstrikes near Avdiivka and Nevelske, and deployed artillery to attack the vicinity of Lastochkyne, Avdiivka, Karlivka, Pervomaiske and Nevelske (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Marinka front, Russians carried out offensive operations near Marinka and Pobieda (Donetsk Oblast), but failed. They launched an airstrike near Krasnohorivka, and shelled Maksymilianivka, Marinka, Heorhiivka and Peremoha (Donetsk Oblast) with artillery.

On the Shakhtarsk front, the Russians conducted airstrikes near Zolota Nyva and Blahodatne (Donetsk Oblast). The Russians also bombarded Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka and Blahodatne (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, Russian forces are on the defensive and concentrate their main efforts on preventing the advance of Ukraine’s troops. They tried to regain their lost positions near Makarivka (Donetsk Oblast). The Russians carried out airstrikes near Storozheve, Makarivka (Donetsk Oblast) and Levadne (Zaporizhzhia Oblast), and launched artillery shelling of the settlements of Novoocheretuvate, Makarivka, Storozheve, Zelene Pole, Temyrivka (Donetsk Oblast); Levadne, Chervone, Huliaipole, Charivne, Novoandriivka, Stepove, Pyatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia Oblast); Zolota Balka, Mykhailivka, Dudchany, Ivanivka, Sadove, Molodizhne, Bilozerka, Antonivka, Kherson and Dniprovske (Kherson Oblast).

During the past 24 hours, Ukrainian aircraft carried out seven airstrikes on areas where Russian military personnel were concentrated and four – on their anti-aircraft systems. 

Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck a command post, four areas where Russian personnel and military equipment were concentrated, two ammunition storage points, a fuel storage point, 23 artillery units at their firing positions, two electronic warfare systems and two Russian communication nodes.
