Zelenskyy on counteroffensive: No positions lost, only liberated

During the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff meeting on June 19, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed specific matters regarding the offensive. As of now, Ukrainian defenders have successfully maintained their positions without any losses, while Russians do nothing but suffer losses.

Zelenskyy's direct quote: "The [Supreme Commander-in-Chief's] Staff [meeting – ed.]. First of all, the front line, specific issues of the offensive. There were reports from senior commanders and commanders directly from the battlefield. There was also a report by the Commander-in-Chief, the Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate."

Details: According to the president’s statement, thorough and detailed consideration was given to the preparation and equipment provision of new brigades of the National Guard and border guards – who are awaiting their deployment for military operations.

Zelenskyy reported that Ukrainian defenders are currently making progress in certain directions, while defending their positions and resisting assaults and intensified attacks by the occupying forces in others. Importantly, there are no lost positions, only liberated ones.

Instead, the Russian invaders only suffered losses. "In general, it is a situation of pressure, our pressure, which allows us to pave the way for our flag," the president emphasised.

Zelenskyy also expressed his confidence that the blue-yellow colours of Ukraine will prevail throughout the entire South and East. "And the evil state has no such fortifications or reserves that will stop Ukraine. Because we are on our own land, and this gives us the greatest strength," Zelenskyy said.
