Currently, the investigation into the causes of the accident is ongoing. We recall that due to technical impairments caused by previous attacks, as well as unreliable networks requiring large-scale repairs, consumers of Odesa Oblast were cut off the grid even when electricity generation completely covered the needs of consumers," the ministry said.

Additionally, due to the emergency situation in Ukraine's networks, the interstate power transmission line was separated from Moldova.

In addition, the lines of the electricity transmission system operator in the Vinnytsia Oblast were temporarily shut down, which resulted in restrictions applied for the renewable energy industry in the country's western oblasts.

Additionally, due to technological issues, high-voltage power lines in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Donetsk Oblast were shut down, too, the ministry added.

At the same time, the electricity produced by Ukrainian power plants is completely sufficient to cover the needs of consumers. There is no shortage.

Regarding the consequences of the destruction of the dam of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, the recording and elimination of the consequences of the flood that arose due to the explosion on the dam continues. Power engineers are working to restore electricity to consumers.

"In general, in Kherson, people remain without light due to flooding of more than 14,000 consumers; in the liberated part of Kherson Oblast, 1 settlement is cut off the grid, vand in the Mykolaiv Oblast, there are 3 settlements [without electricity – ed.].

Based on the results of studying photos and videos from UAVs, Ukrhydroenergo specialists determined that the water level in the Kakhovka reservoir may be below 7 metres," the Ministry of Energy added.

At the same time, the Russian terror on the frontline and oblasts bordering the Russian Federation continues. More than 24,000 consumers in Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Donetsk Oblasts were left without light due to the Russian attacks.

Damage to energy infrastructure in Donetsk and Kherson regions was recorded. Due to previous shelling, some of the consumers in Chernihiv Oblast remain without light.

Power engineers work where the security situation allows," the report says.

Due to technological impairments, consumers in Kyiv and Kirovograd Oblast were left without light. In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, more than 10,000 consumers remained without light, but now all of them are reconnected.

Commercial electricity imports over the past day amounted to 2,536 megawatt-hour. There is no export going on.
