Man steps on Petal landmine hidden in grass in Kharkiv Oblast and has his toes torn off
A 52-year-old man in the Kharkiv district suffered an injury after stepping on a mine hidden in the grass on 18 June.

Details: The State Emergency Service of Ukraine noted that the resident of the liberated village of Tokarivka in the Derhachi hromada (an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.) stepped on a PFM-1 Petal land mine, which was placed in the tall grass.
The toes of his right foot were torn off in the explosion; he is in the hospital.
Rescuers ask people not to ignore the mine danger, especially in the liberated territories.
The authorities ask Ukrainians to refrain from visiting forests, fields, reservoirs and other open spaces.
