Russians train mobilised soldiers on Dzharylhach Island – General Staff

The Russian military is taking measures to train mobilised soldiers on the occupied island of Dzharylhach in Kherson Oblast.

Quote: "The Russian occupiers continue to carry out ecocide on the island of Dzharylhach, where they have set up a training ground and are conducting training activities for the mobilised, including artillery exercises."

Earlier: On 19 May 2023, the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the the Russian occupying forces linked the island of Dzharylhach with the occupied mainland part of Kherson Oblast near the settlement of Lazurne, covering the crossing to the island with sand. The invaders set up a military training ground on the island.

Later, the General Staff reported that the Russian occupying forces have stationed about 300 of their troops and 15 boats taken from local residents on Dzharylhach Island.
