Zaluzhnyi tells US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Ukraine is executing its counteroffensive plans

In a recent phone call, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, told General Mark Milley, US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, about the latest developments on the front in Ukraine.

Details: Zaluzhnyi has posted that heavy fighting – both defensive and offensive – continues in Ukraine’s east and south. Ukraine’s defence forces have made "some gains", are carrying out their plans, and "advancing".

Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief also said that the Ukrainian army needs to strengthen its air defence, artillery, and counterbattery combat capabilities.
