US delivers new $325 million military aid package to Ukraine

On Tuesday, Antony Blinken, United States Secretary of State, announced a new USD 325 million military aid package for Ukraine, which includes additional ammunition and armoured vehicles.

Ukraine will receive a new package of US military aid within the framework of the Presidential Drawdown Authority mechanism, which provides for the withdrawal of equipment and ammunition from military warehouses.

The aid will include "critically important air defence equipment, additional ammunition for HIMARS systems, artillery shells, anti-tank weapons, armoured vehicles and other equipment necessary to strengthen Ukrainian forces on the battlefield."

"Russia started this unprovoked war against Ukraine. Russia can end it at any moment by withdrawing its troops from Ukraine and stopping its brutal attacks on Ukrainian cities and Ukrainians," the US Secretary of State said.

"Until Russia does this, the United States and its allies and partners will jointly support Ukraine for as long as it takes," he added.
