Two tankers collided in Russia on 12 June: petrol leaks into river
Two tankers collided in the Irkutsk Oblast of Russia on 12 June, one carrying petrol, which leaked into the river.

Details: The Russian Investigative Committee reports that a tanker TR-901, which was undergoing repairs at the port in Alekseevsk, collided with a tanker TR-900 Erofei Khabarovsk, which was carrying 832 tonnes of petrol, on the Lena River near the village of Alekseevsk.
A petrol tanker was damaged during the collision, and some of the fuel ended up in the river. The Russian Investigative Committee claims that there were no casualties.
"The Bratsk Investigative Department for Transport initiated a criminal case under Article 247.1 of the Russian Criminal Code (transportation of chemicals and waste in violation of the established rules if these acts created a threat of causing significant damage to the environment) and Art. 263.2 of the Russian Criminal Code (violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of inland water transport)," the Russian Investigative Committee reports.
Updated: A state of emergency has been introduced in the Kirensk district of Irkutsk Oblast. According to Governor Igor Kobzev, the tanker Yerofei Khabarov was transporting 832 tonnes of petrol. As a result of the collision, one of the containers containing 138 tonnes of fuel was damaged, and it began to spill into the river. The crew pumped the petrol into an undamaged container.
