Details: Job ads for Wagner, which has mercenaries operating in several countries, have reached nearly 120,000 views on the two social media platforms over the last ten months, according to Logically, a UK research group focused on busting disinformation and fake news.
Posts are published in dozens of languages, including French, Vietnamese, and Spanish. They also include contact phone numbers, Telegram accounts and touted monthly salaries of 240,000 roubles (€2,800) with benefits including health care.
According to Kyle Walter, head of research for Logically, some of these posts are "actual propaganda films" combined with phone numbers.
One post in French boasted that Wagner employees enjoy a number of opportunities, such as paid time off, healthcare, well-paid jobs and the opportunity to work all over the world.
The Meta company, which is the owner of Facebook, the popular social networking service, assures users that they are aware of the danger of the Wagner Group and "it cannot have a presence" on their platforms. They added that the company removes this content when they become aware of it.
