According to him, today the sides managed to unblock the main basic format of interaction at a high political level, and there is a desire to hold such a meeting with the participation of the President of Ukraine during the Vilnius summit.
"There is absolutely no fatigue; today, there were very clear words of support, but also the announcement of new commitments. The Netherlands, for example, has announced that it is transferring several dozens of millions of euros to the NATO Fund, which funds projects for Ukraine," he said.
Kuleba said that at the meeting, he expressed Ukraine's position on the argument that membership was not relevant, but the maximum strengthening of support for Kyiv is relevant.
"We had a frank conversation, literally saying everything we thought. Now the allies must discuss this among themselves and finally reach a clear result, which will be achieved at the Vilnius summit. My message was: Vilnius 2023 is an opportunity to correct the mistakes of Bucharest 2008," he added.
Background: After the meeting, Kuleba also said that the issue of providing Ukraine with an action plan for NATO membership was no longer on the agenda.
On Tuesday, for the first time since 2017, the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Commission took place, when the educational law was adopted, which Budapest opposes.
