Quote from Kherson City Council: "Dear residents of Kherson! Systematic and massive hostile shelling of the city's hromada [an administrative unit designating a town, village, or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.] is occurring. Since most of the shells hit residential buildings, we advise you to take advantage of the free evacuation to not endanger your own lives and your families' safety."
Details: The authorities also point out that first responders, including rescue workers, doctors, and police, who go to help residents are coming under fire and becoming the target of Russian attacks.
Currently, Helping to Leave is engaged in a free evacuation from Kherson. Volunteers take people by bus from Kherson to Odesa every day. The buses depart twice a day: at 8:00 and 13:00 from the bus station at 1 Polkovnyka Kedrovskoho Street.
You need to be at the bus station one hour before the bus departure time to pass the document check. The baggage limit is two bags per person
To get on the bus, you need to write to the Telegram bot Helping to Leave, fill out the form, and call +380931776458.
Those who have signed up for the bus will receive an SMS confirming the departure time and bus number. A bus reservation means that the person has booked a seat.
