Debris of destroyed apartment building in Zaporizhzhia removed

All of the debris has been cleared away from the site of an apartment building destroyed by a Russian missile strike in Zaporizhzhia. 13 people lost their lives in the attack.

Details: As of 15:00 on 5 March, the Chief Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia Oblast had removed more than 1,034 tonnes of construction debris. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service provided support to 103 residents of the building and members of the victims' families.

Employees of the State Emergency Service rescued 11 people. Four cats and a dog were rescued during the clearance of the debris.

The rescue workers found 13 bodies, including that of an 8-month-old child, under the rubble.

In total, 110 employees from various services and 39 appliances were involved in the operation, including 63 rescue workers and 19 appliances from the State Emergency Service.
