Wagner Group's Financier reflects on retreat from Bakhmut and shift of front line to Russian borders
Yevgeny Prigozhin, Head of Wagner private military company (PMC), is confident that the retreat of his troops from the city of Bakhmut will collapse the entire front, and then Russia will blame the mercenaries for the defeat in the war.

Quote from Prigozhin: "If Wagner Group retreats from Bakhmut, the entire front will collapse...
If the Wagner Group rolls back now, then the following situation is happening in history: it is clear that the front will collapse to the Russian border, and it may continue to extend."
Details: Prigozhin complains that the Russian authorities will blame the Wagnerites for the war's defeats, as the mercenaries' retreat from Bakhmut "will cause a 'spring effect' and Ukrainian forces will break through to the territory of the so-called 'LPR' [the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic] from all sides, sweep away Luhansk and Sorokyne and enter Russia."
He further assumes that Crimea will be liberated.
Prigozhin is outraged that the Russian Defence Ministry does not give the Wagnerites ammunition and more convicts to recruit to their ranks for this reason.
The video with the militant's words appeared online late in the evening on 4 March. It is currently unknown when and where it was recorded. Prigozhin's press service did not post the video.
