Russian soldiers hit Sumy Oblast from mortars and artillery, 117 strikes

During the past day, the Russian soldiers fired on seven territorial hromadas [an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.] of Sumy Oblast from mortars and artillery, 117 strikes were recorded.

Details: The territories of Bilopillia, Esman, Shalyhyne, Nova Sloboda, Znob-Novhorodske, Myropillia, and Yunakivka hromadas came under fire.

At 8:55, the Russians fired 12 mines from mortars and a self-propelled artillery unit on Bilopillia hromada; 5 artillery shells hit the village of Iskryskivshchyna. The cultural centre and power lines were damaged as a result of the shelling.

At 11:56, there was artillery shelling with 152mm self-propelled guns, five shells. And at 16.30, five hits from mortars.

At 11:15, three strikes, probably from a 120mm mortar, were recorded in the Shalyhyne hromada. Also, after 11:00, 20 strikes were recorded, probably from self-propelled artillery. The shelling of the hromada continued after 12:00, there were three strikes, with a 120mm mortar, according to preliminary reports. There was also mortar shelling at 17:50, 10 strikes.

The Russian forces fired mortars on the Esman hromada, 31 strikes in a day.

At 12:05, Nova Sloboda hromada was shelled with a mortar, four strikes.

In the Znob-Novhorodske hromada at 12:50, the Russians fired on the outskirts of the village Novovasylivka from a mortar, eight strikes. Power lines were damaged as a result of shelling.

At 15:00, six strikes (approximately 120mm mortar) were recorded in the Myropillia hromada

At 19:05, Yunakivka hromada was shelled from self-propelled artillery, five strikes.
