A crime against Ukraine – Ukraine's Air Force on Telegram channels tracking movement of Russian missiles and drones

The Air Force has warned the administrators of Telegram channels which provide Russia with information regarding the location of Ukrainian air defence and its weaknesses that they could be criminally liable.

Quote: "You can see the number of Telegram channels that have been created. Who controls them is an extremely important issue requiring special monitoring. We are not talking about the official Telegram channels of the heads [of local authorities – ed.], but those that report on the movement of enemy missiles, Shahed UAVs, etc.

I would like to note that serious decisions may be made in the near future, and criminal cases may be opened if there are grounds for this. Some Telegram channels provide real-time information about the movement of UAVs and missiles, and there are screenshots from the Virage Tablet system [automated software for collecting, processing, displaying and analysing information about the air situation – ed.]. How they get these [screenshots] is another matter. These screenshots indicate the time and location of [Russian] drones or their disappearance from radar.

I would like to warn the administrators of these Telegram channels that informing the enemy is a crime against Ukraine. Certain measures will be taken, and the material will be handed over to the relevant authorities".

Details: Ihnat emphasised that posting screenshots and reporting on the movement of Russian aircraft in real-time is prohibited. Russia takes this information into account when planning its next missile attacks.
