Representatives of Ukraine and United States discuss repelling Russian aggression

Oleksii Reznikov, Ukraine’s Defence Minister, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of Ukrainian Armed Forces, and Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President, held an online meeting with Lloyd Austin, US Secretary of Defence, Mark A. Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Jake Sullivan, National Security Advisor,  to discuss the situation at the front and the needs of the Ukrainian army.

Quote: "Representatives of Ukraine provided the allies with detailed updates on the current situation at the front, combat operations on the most difficult fronts, as well as the urgent needs of the Ukrainian army.

The parties discussed further provision of necessary assistance to Ukraine, including equipment, weapons and ammunition."

Details: Volodymyr Zelenskyy is said to have joined the conversation towards the end. The President of Ukraine shared his views on the liberation of Ukrainian lands.

The following Ukrainian officials have also taken part in the meeting: Oleksandr Pavliuk, First Deputy Defence Minister; Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Commander of the Khortytsia Tactical and Strategic Group; Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, Commander of the Tavria Tactical and Strategic Group; Mykola Oleshchuk, Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Roman Mashovets, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office.
