Quote: "The border guards repelled the assault on the Bakhmut front and captured a soldier from Wagner Group.
Assault troops tried to attack the border guards' observation post. Our fighters started to fire and forced the invaders to retreat. They [occupiers – ed.] 'paid' with one killed and one living occupier who was captured. He turned out to be a Wagner Group soldier.
He said he went to fight for a monetary reward and hasn't killed anyone yet. Should we believe him?"
Details: The State Border Service does not specify when exactly the assault of the Russians and the capture of one of the invaders took place.
On 6 March, the State Border Service of Ukraine reported that an attack on a stronghold of Ukrainian defenders on the Bakhmut front was repelled a few days earlier. Wagner attack aircraft were stopped in close combat, and border guards and mortar launchers killed at least seven Russian soldiers later.
On 11 March, it was reported that a Ukrainian Border Guards ground reconnaissance group went on the offensive and killed a number of Wagner Group fighters.
