Ukraine's government demonstrates workings of GLSDB long-range missile expected from US
Ukraine’s Ministry of Information Policy has shown a video of the GLSDB long-range cruise missile. This projectile has a range of 150 kilometres and is part of a new package of military aid to Ukraine from the United States.

Details: The Centre reports that the cruise missile is an experimental US development that will help the Ukrainian Armed Forces drive the Russians out of Ukraine.
The GLSDB is a hybrid of an aerial bomb and an M26 unguided missile. Such bombs and missiles will be launched from ground-based installations and are highly accurate.
For reference: The GLSDB munition was developed by Boeing in cooperation with SAAB and has been under development since 2019. The GLSDB combines the GBU-39 (SDB) air-launched bomb with the M26 rocket engine. The GBU-39 is a small guided bomb weighing about 130 kilograms. The wings of the GBU-39 unfold in the air, which significantly increases the range of the bomb.
The weapon uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) and an inertial navigation system to hit the target.
These munitions can be fired from HIMARS and M270 launchers.
Background: In early February, Patrick Ryder, the Pentagon press secretary, said that a new military aid package for Ukraine would include long-range GLSDB missiles with a range of 150 kilometres.
