Zelenskyy will hold meeting with Italian Prime Minister on sidelines of EU summit

Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will meet with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Thursday in Brussels on the sidelines of a meeting of the European Council.

Update at 20:29: The Italian prime minister's office provided CNN with confirmation of the meeting between Meloni and Zelenskyy.

Details: Meloni said last week that she would pay a visit Kyiv before the first anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion, which means it should happen before 24 February.

On WednesdayZelenskyy was in the United Kingdom, where he has held talks with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, addressed parliament and will visit Ukrainian military personnel who are training in Britain.

After the visit to London on Wednesday evening, Zelenskyy will go to Paris, where he will meet with Emmanuel Macron, the President of France and Olaf Scholz, the Chancellor of Germany.
