Zelensky to visit UK on Wednesday

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit the UK on Wednesday, 8 February.

"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will arrive in the UK today to meet Rishi Sunak and Ukrainian troops," the message reads.

"President Zelenskyy's visit to the UK is a testament to his country's courage, determination and fight, and a testament to the unbreakable friendship between our two countries," Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said, quoted by the Evening Standard.

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, Zelenskyy has made only one trip outside Ukraine, when he went to the United States and stopped in Poland on the way back before Christmas.

Zelenskyy is also expected to address the UK Parliament.

After that, he should arrive in Brussels to participate in the EU summit on Thursday.
