Russians strike energy facility in Nova Kakhovka, apartment building in Druzhkivka

Last night, the Russian invaders fired S-300 missiles on the cities of Kharkiv and Druzhkivka, hitting an industrial facility and an apartment building; in the morning, they shelled Avdiivka with artillery, damaged a hospital in Vovchansk, and damaged an energy infrastructure facility in Nova Kakhovka.

Details: Chernihiv Oblast: One artillery attack on Novhorod-Siverskyi district over the last day. No casualties and no damage reported.

Sumy Oblast: On Tuesday afternoon, a local elderly woman born in 1946 has been killed in an artillery shelling of the village of Pavlivka, Bilopillia hromada [an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.] when a private house was hit with a shell.

In total, during the day, the Russians shelled Krasnopillia, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske, Shalyhyne and Hlukhiv hromadas. A total of 125 strikes have been recorded.

Zaporizhzhia Oblast: Over the past day, the occupiers shelled civilian infrastructure in the vicinity of settlements of Huliaipole, Olhivske, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Malynivka, Novoandriivka, Novomykolaivka, Shcherbaky, Kamianske, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove.

There is destruction of houses (apartments) and infrastructure as a result of shelling. Details are being established.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast: Last night, the Russian occupiers shelled Nikopol district again. They fired at the Chervonohryhorivka hromada with heavy artillery. No casualties were reported. 

The rescue workers are currently examining the areas affected by the shelling. Details are being established.

Kharkiv Oblast: At night, the Russians attacked Kharkiv with S-300 missiles. The preliminary data indicates that four missiles hit the territory of an industrial facility. A fire broke out. There were also hits to the ground of the city's Central Park. There were no casualties.

Over the past day, on the Slobozhanshchyna front, the Russians fired on the settlements of Veterynarne, Strilecha, Krasne, Hlyboke, Lyptsi, Starytsia, Morokhovets, Zelene, Neskuchne, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Budarky, Vilkhuvatka, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk and Kamianka. 

On the Kupiansk front, the settlements of Dvorichna, Hrianykivka, Kucherivka, Kupiansk, Kurylivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Berestove, Krokhmalne, Vyshneve came under Russian fire.

A 16-year-old girl has been wounded and a 74-year-old woman has been killed in the shelling of Vovchansk last evening.

The city hospital in Vovchansk was damaged in the shelling, the roof of the central building caught on fire. Shrapnel hit an ambulance carrying a patient. There were no casualties in the vehicle.

Luhansk Oblast: The Russians continue to focus their main efforts on offensive operations, in particular on the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, suffering significant losses, especially in manpower.

Over the past day, the units of Ukraine’s Armed Forces repelled Russian attacks near the settlements of Novoselivske, Chervonopopivka, Shypylivka, Bilohorivka.

On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, the settlements of Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Novoiehorivka, Makiivka, Ploshchanka, Nevske, Pishchane, Kreminna, Dibrova, Bilohorivka came under Russian fire.

The situation in the oblast remains tough.

Donetsk Oblast: At night, the Russians attacked Druzhkivka with S-300 missiles.
An apartment building was damaged. Information about the casualties is being established. 

Throughout the night, there was a shelling of positions and active hostilities along almost the entire defence line in Ocheretyne and Avdiivka hromads.

In the morning, there was an artillery attack on Avdiivka. Information about the casualties is being established. 

The situation is difficult near Bakhmut, Soledar and Vuhledar. There is constant shelling of these settlements and localities.

Over the day, shelling of Siversk and the village of Serebrianka of Siversk hromada was reported.

Two people have been wounded in the oblast over the day.

Mykolaiv Oblast: On the morning of 8 February, the Russians attacked the coastline and water area of Ochakiv hromada. No casualties were reported.

Also this morning, Kutsurub hromada came under Russian fire. The strike took place outside the settlement. There were no destructions or casualties.

Kherson Oblast: The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces states that 17 settlements came under fire on the Kherson front, including Mykhailivka, Havrylivka, Mylove, Zmiivka, Novoberyslav, Kozatske, Lvove, Tiahynka, Ivanivka, Mykilske, Antonivka, Yantarne, Berehove, Veletenske and Kherson.

Two people have been wounded in the last day as a result of Russian aggression.

A total of 69 people were evacuated by road from the liberated territories of Kherson Oblast, including 12 children. 

The situation in the temporarily occupied territories remains tense.

In the village of Kairy, Kakhovka district, Russian occupiers are forcibly taking away civilian cars from the local population.

In the temporarily occupied Nova Kakhovka, the Russian military hit an energy infrastructure facility. The city was cut from power and water supply.
