Ukraine's Armed Forces repel Russian attacks near 22 settlements – General Staff report

Ukrainian defence forces repelled Russian attacks near 22 settlements in Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts on 7 February.

Details: Over the past day, units of Ukrainian defence forces have repelled Russian attacks near the settlements of Novoveselivske, Chervonopopivka, Shypylivka, Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast; and Verkhnokamianske, Fedorivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Spirne, Vyimka, Bakhmut, Krasna Hora, Paraskoviivka, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Kamianka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Avdiivka, Marinka and Bohoiavlenka in Donetsk Oblast.

Russian forces conducted 8 missile strikes, including 5 strikes on civilian infrastructure facilities in the city of Kharkiv, and 21 air strikes. In addition, they carried out 39 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS), hitting, in particular, civilian infrastructure facilities of Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts. Residential buildings were damaged.

There are no changes on the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts. No Russian offensive groups have been detected. Russian troops fired on the areas in and around Zarutske, Popivka and Sadky in Sumy Oblast, and Veterynarne, Strilecha, Krasne, Hlyboke, Lyptsi, Starytsia, Morokhovets, Zelene, Neskuchne, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Budarky, Vilkhuvatka, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk and Kamianka in Kharkiv Oblast. The occupiers deployed an UAV with combat load in the village of Volfyne in Sumy Oblast.

Over 40 settlements on the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts came under Russian fire, including Dvorichna, Hrianykivka, Kucherivka, Kupiansk, Kurylivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Berestove, Krokhmalne, Vyshneve, Chervonopopivka and Kuzmyne in Kharkiv Oblast; and Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Novoiehorivka, Makiivka, Ploshchanka, Nevske, Pishchane, Kreminna, Dibrova and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast. Russian forces conducted airstrikes in the areas of Kotliarivka, Krokhmalne and Bilohorivka.

On the Bakhmut front, Spirne, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Rozdolivka, Zaliznianske, Paraskoviivka, Krasna Hora, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Mykolaivka, Predtechyne, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, New-York and Vesele in Donetsk Oblast were shelled. More than 30 settlements in total.

On the Avdiivka and Novopavlivka fronts, the Russians deployed tanks, mortars and artillery to attack the areas in and around Avdiivka, Vodiane, Marinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva and Neskuchne in Donetsk Oblast. Air strikes by the occupiers were recorded near Avdiivka, Nevelske and Marinka. The Russian invaders dropped K-51 non-lethal tear-gas hand grenades from UAVs on the positions of Ukrainian troops near the village of Vodiane.

Over 30 settlements on the Zaporizhzhia front came under Russian fire, including Novopil, Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Shcherbaky, Mali Shcherbaky and Stepove in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Russian forces conducted airstrikes in the areas of Olhivske and Huliaipole.

Seventeen settlements were affected by Russian fire on the Kherson front, including Mykhailivka, Havrylivka, Mylove, Zmiivka, Novoberyslav, Kozatske, Lvove, Tiahynka, Ivanivka, Mykilske, Antonivka, Yantarne, Berehove, Veletenske and Kherson.

The Ukrainian Air Force carried out 12 strikes on clusters of Russian personnel and military equipment, as well as 2 strikes on Russian anti-aircraft missile system positions over the past day.

In addition, Ukrainian defenders destroyed a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft, a Mi-24 helicopter and two Russian Orlan-type UAVs. Units of Ukraine's Rocket Forces and Artillery inflicted damage on two Russian command posts, seven clusters of manpower and an ammunition storage point.
