Russian troops attack Sumy Oblast: 125 stikes recorded, woman killed

Sumy Oblast Military Administration reports 125 Russian strikes in Sumy Oblast over the past 24 hours. A woman was killed in one of the attacks.

A local woman born in 1946 died following the shelling at 15:07-15:40 targeting the village of Pavlivka in Bilopillia hromada [administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories] (20 strikes). The shell hit a private residential building."

Details: Russian troops attacked hromadas of Krasnopillia, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske, Shalyhyne, and Hlukhiv over the past 24 hours.

The record shows 125 strikes documented, three explosive devices dropped by UAVs, and one machine gun round targeting the border area and settlements of Sumy Oblast.

Krasnopillia hromada came under mortar fire, reportedly 120 mm calibre, with 20 strikes recorded.

In Bilopillia hromada, apart from the attack on the village of Pavlivka, Russian UAVs carrying VOG grenades dropped two projectiles on the hromada. Russian troops also fired mortars at another village of the hromada with 11 strikes reported.

The Russian troops dropped an explosive device, a VOG 25P grenade, in Seredyna-Buda hromada. The grenade did not explode.

Znob-Novhorodske hromada came under attack, reportedly by automatic grenade launchers, with 21 strikes recorded. 

In Yunakivka hromada, Russian troops attacked with mortars. The attack resulted in eight strikes followed by another 18.

The Russian occupying forces dropped seven bombs on Shalyhyne hromada and fired small arms, one burst from a heavy-calibre machine gun.

Hlukhiv hromada came under mortar fire: The hormada's territory was hit by 17 bombs.
