Details: Zelenskyy said that Vasyl Maliuk, who has recently been appointed as the head of Ukraine’s Security Service and has "passed the test of war", and Ihor Klymenko, the new Minister of Internal Affairs who "has been defending our country since the first minutes of the full-scale invasion together with everyone else", are two examples of what he is looking for in government officials.
Quote from Zelenskyy: "Now we have people who have gained combat experience. Their work on behalf of the state that is fighting for its people and its independence has had clear, tangible results. There should be more such people on posts of various levels in central and local government."
Previously: On 6 February, President Zelenskyy announced that officials with military experience would be appointed in a number of border areas and frontline regions. On 7 February, Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers supported the appointment of three new heads of oblast military administrations.
