Recently, law enforcement officers have evacuated a family with children out of Vuhledar.

The mother, Tetiana, her spouse Andrii and their children, 10-year old Daria and 7-year old Kostyantyn, lived in the cellar of an apartment building near partially occupied Pavlivka.

"When they entered the cellar, the parents said that they didn’t have any children. They were afraid. We gave them some time to gather their belongings and evacuated them within two weeks", says Andrii Drumov, the Head of Repair and Rehabilitation Regiment of Volnovakha.

The children were taken out in helmets and special vests with "Kids" written on them. These are meant to protect them from possible shell fragments.
