Pentagon believes that war in Ukraine may last for two to three years

Colin Kahl, US Under Secretary of Defence for Policy, does not rule out that the war in Ukraine might last for another two to three years.

Quote: "It is difficult [to predict how long we will need to support Ukraine through the war – ed.] as we do not know the exact trajectory of the conflict. The conflict may end in six months, or it may end in two or three years.

President Biden said that we will support Ukraine for as long as it takes."

Details: Kahl acknowledged that Ukraine is dependent on assistance from the United States and its partners.

The US Defence Department believes that small portions of territory may change hands in the near future, but that Russia is not expected to make significant progress in advancing through Ukraine.
