Ukraine will never be victory for Russia – Biden in Poland
Speaking in Warsaw on Tuesday, 21 February, Joe Biden, the President of the United States, said that Ukraine's allies "will not tire" of supporting it in the face of Russia's full-scale aggression, and Kyiv will "never be" defeated by Russia.
This was reported by the correspondent of European Pravda.
"There should be no doubt. Our support for Ukraine will not waver. NATO will not be divided. And we will not tire. President Putin's crave and lust for land and power will fail, and Ukrainian people’s love for their country will prevail. The democratic states of the world will defend their freedom today, tomorrow and forever," the American president emphasised.
Biden noted that "freedom is at stake now," and the world understood that "appetites of the autocrat cannot be appeased. They must be opposed." "Autocrats only understand one word: 'no, no, no'. No, you will not take my country. No, you will not take my freedom. No, you will not take my future.’," he added.
The President of the USA commented on the actions of his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, assuring that he will not be able to achieve his goals in Ukraine.
"A dictator bent on rebuilding an empire will never be able to ease the people’s love of liberty, brutality will never grind down the will of the free, and Ukraine will never be a victory for Russia. Never!", emphasised the US leader.
On Friday, Biden decided to make a risky visit to Kyiv on 20 February, after being briefed in the Oval Office by leading members of his national security team. During the visit, the American president announced a new package of military aid from the United States and additional sanctions against Russia.
