Biden shares his vision of Kyiv after first year of war
US President Joe Biden has shared his impressions of his recent visit to Kyiv in his speech in Warsaw.

Quote: "One year ago, the world was bracing for the fall of Kyiv. Well, I just came back from a visit to Kyiv and I can report that Kyiv stands strong. Kyiv stands proud. It stands tall," Biden said.
He added that it was an honour for him to visit the memorial of fallen Ukrainian heroes in Kyiv.
Biden added that the whole world has been tested in its response to the war with Russia, which began a year ago, and it did not look away.
"We did respond, we would be strong and we would be united, and the world would not look the other way," Biden said.
According to Biden, Putin expected the Ukrainian people to retreat when his tanks entered Ukraine on 24 February.
"The Ukrainian people are too brave. We were too unified. Democracy was too strong," the US president said.
Background: On Friday, Biden decided to make a risky visit to Kyiv on 20 February, after a briefing in the Oval Office arranged by top members of his national security team.
During the visit, the American president announced a new package of military aid from the United States and additional sanctions against Russia for its aggression.
