Former convicts from Wagner Group exacerbate crime situation in Crimea
The criminogenic situation has worsened in Crimea due to the amnesty of convicts from the Wagner Group, the infamous Russian private military company.

Details: It is reported that since the beginning of 2023, the crime-related situation has significantly worsened in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, in particular, in Sevastopol. The reason was the appearance of ex-convicts who fought as part of the so-called Wagner PMC and were pardoned after the end of the contract.
In case of detention for newly committed crimes, they are not sent to correctional facilitiess, but back to the front line.
