"Two explosions" in Khmelnytskyi, air defence system activated in Mykolaiv Oblast

Serhii Hamalii, Head of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast Military Administration, has said that an explosion occurred in the city of Khmelnytskyi on the morning of 18 February.

Details: Hawaii later added that another explosion rocked the city.

It remains unknown whether the explosions resulted from Russian missiles hitting targets in the city or from the activity of Ukrainian air defence.

Meanwhile, Vitalii Kim, Head of the Mykolaiv Oblast Military Administration, said that air defence was activated in Mykolaiv Oblast. He posted a picture of a downed Russian missile.

Quote from Kim: "Let's put it this way: the morning of downed missiles has begun."

Details: Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the Ukrainian President, said that Russia has deployed tactical aircraft to launch missiles, including these fired on the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
