Defence forces repel Russian attacks in areas of 20 settlements – General Staff report
The Ukrainian defence forces repelled Russian attacks in the areas of 20 settlements on 17 February.

Quote: "Over the last day, the enemy carried out 10 missile strikes and 29 air strikes and deployed multiple-launch rocket systems to fire 69 times.
The threat of Russian missile attacks on the entire territory of Ukraine remains very high.
The enemy is focusing its main efforts on conducting offensive operations on the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk fronts.
Over the past day, our warriors have repelled Russian attacks in the areas of Hrianykivka and Synkivka in Kharkiv Oblast, Stelmakhivka, Chervonopopivka and Kreminna in Luhansk Oblast, and Vyimka, Fedorivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Rozdolivka, Paraskoviivka, Berkhivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Vesele, Vodiane, Marinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka and Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast."
Details: No offensive groups of the Russians were detected on the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts. During the past day, areas near Kolos in Chernihiv Oblast; Bachivsk, Esman, Kharkivka, Zarutske, Kindrativka, Yunakivka, Zapsillia, Maiske and Mezenivka in Sumy Oblast, as well as Veterynarne, Hraniv, Kozacha Lopan, Strilecha, Krasne, Borysivka, Vesele, Starytsia and Krasne Pershe in Kharkiv Oblast, were shelled.
On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, Russia fired on more than 15 settlements, including Krokhmalne, Berestove, Hrianykivka and Kucherivka in Kharkiv Oblast, Kreminna, Pershotravneve, Nevske and Chervonopopivka in Luhansk Oblast, and Spirne and Rozdolivka in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Bakhmut front, more than 20 cities, towns and villages came under Russian fire. This refers to Rozdolivka, Zaliznianske, Paraskoviivka, Berkhivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka and New-York in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk fronts, Russian forces fired from artillery on 20 settlements, including Vesele, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Vuhledar, Bohoiavlenka, Velyka Novosilka, Zolota Nyva and Neskuchne in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, areas of 25 cities, towns and villages were affected by Russian fire. This refers to Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Kamianske and Prydniprovske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
On the Kherson front, Russian artillery fire affected the city of Kherson itself, as well as areas of over 25 settlements, including Mykhailivka, Novooleksandrivka, Havrylivka, Zmiivka, Vesele, Kozatske, Ivanivka, Tokarivka, Mykilske, Sadove and Antonivka in Kherson Oblast.
The Air Force of the Defence Forces of Ukraine carried out five strikes on clusters of Russian military personnel, as well as a strike on an anti-aircraft missile system position during the last 24 hours.
Air defence units shot down six Russian UAVs. As per the information available, five of those were Lantset UAVs and the other one was a Zala.
In addition, Rocket Forces and Artillery units hit three clusters of Russian manpower and an S-300 anti-aircraft missile system at a firing position.
