Ukraine's Armed Forces repel Russian attacks near 11 settlements – General Staff report

The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled Russian attacks near 12 settlements on 9 February.

Quote:  "The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensives on the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka fronts near the settlements of Kreminna, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Opytne, Marinka and Vuhledar. They actively deploy operational-tactical and army aircraft to strike the positions of our troops.

During the past day, Ukraine's Defence Forces repelled the occupiers attacks near the settlements of Hrianykivka and Masiutivka (Kharkiv Oblast), Stelmakhivka and Dibrova (Luhansk Oblast), and Fedorivka, Krasna Hora, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka and Prechystivka (Donetsk Oblast).

Over the past day, Russian forces launched 52 airstrikes and six missile strikes, two of which hit civilian infrastructure in the city of Kramatorsk in Donetsk Oblast. The invaders also fired 63 rockets using multiple-launch rocket systems, targeting civilian infrastructure in Donetsk and Kherson oblasts.

The threat of further Russian air and missile strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high."

Details: The situation has not changed on the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts. No signs of the Russians forming offensive groups have been detected. Russian troops fired on the areas in and around 27 settlements including Senkivka and Hai (Chernihiv Oblast), Novovasylivka, Studenok, Volfyne, Basivka, Mykolaivka, Oleksandrivka and Velyka Pysarivka (Sumy Oblast) and Udy, Veterynarne, Kozacha Lopan, Mali Prokhody, Starytsia and Dvorichna (Kharkiv oblast).

On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, Russian troops fired on the areas in and around the settlements of Synkivka, Kupiansk, Pishchane and Berestove (Kharkiv Oblast), Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Chervonopopivka, Dibrova and Serebrianske Forest (Luhansk Oblast), and Torske (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Bakhmut front, Mykolaivka, Spirne, Vasiukivka, Vesele, Berestove, Bilohorivka, Krasna Hora, Chasiv Yar, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Bakhmut, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Toretsk, Pivnichne and Maiorsk in Donetsk Oblast came under fire.

On the Avdiivka  and Novopavlivka fronts, the Russians deployed tanks, mortars and artillery to attack Kamianka, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Bohoiavlenka, Novomykhailivka, Neskuchne, Zolota Nyva, Prechystivka and Vuhledar in Donetsk Oblast.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, Russian troops opened fire on the areas in and around the settlements of Vremivka and Novopil (Donetsk Oblast) and Temyrivka, Olhivske, Staroukrainske, Huliaipole, Chervone, Stepove, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka and Charivne (Zaporizhzhia Oblast).

On the Kherson front, the invaders fired on the areas of 22 settlements, including Kachkarivka, Tokarivka, Vesele, Antonivka, Sadove, Komyshany, Berehove and the city of Kherson.

The General Staff reports that the Russian invaders are continuing population filtering activities in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson Oblast. FSB officers are checking the IDs and personal belongings of local residents in the city of Hola Prystan, paying special attention to personal phones.

The General Staff also reported that to replenish their losses, Russian occupiers have brought mercenaries from the Wagner Group (Private Military Company) recruited in prisons to the settlement of Myrne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

During the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Air Force made 18 strikes on clusters of Russian personnel and military equipment and four strikes on the positions of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

Ukrainian air defence forces shot down three Russian UAVs during the past day; they are thought to be two Orlan-10s and one Orion.

Units of Ukraine's Rocket Forces and Artillery struck two Russian command posts, five clusters of personnel, an ammunition storage point and an air defence position.
