Russian attack on Donetsk Oblast: Kurakhove suffered most destruction, 2 persons killed
Russian forces attacked the localities of Donetsk Oblast at night and in the morning of 4 January; 2 people have been killed in the area of Horlivka, and 1 person has been wounded in Bakhmut.

Quote from Kyrylenko: "On the Donetsk front Kurakhove has suffered the most – the town has been attacked several times; 6 private houses, 2 shops and equipment at the infrastructure facility have been damaged. Mariinka has come under intense fire, and in the morning, sporadic attacks were reported in the old part of Avdiivka – no casualties [were reported]."
Details: According to him, 2 persons have been killed and 1 wounded on the Bakhmut and the Horlivka front. A multi-storey building has been destroyed in Chasiv Yar, 4 more residential buildings and a hospital have been damaged. A 5-storey building has been damaged in Soledar; no people have been injured.
Russian forces have launched a missile attack using S-300 missiles on Lyman, and hit Torske and Zarichne, damaging a house on the territory of hromada [an administrative unit designating a town, village or several villages and their adjacent territories – ed.].
