Russian occupiers increase their forces in Donetsk Oblast, but to no avail – Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that the Russian occupiers are constantly increasing their forces in Donetsk Oblast, but despite their efforts, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are constantly inflicting numerous losses on them. According to the President, tragic news from the front brings Russians back to reality, so they will have to be provided with as much of it as possible.

Quote: "We are already responding and will respond very decisively and effectively to any new attempt by the aggressor to additionally mobilise and throw more [forces] at Ukraine. This will be done with precisely what is needed on the battlefield and for the protection of the entire territory of our country.
Each of our partners will have very specific information about our defence needs."
Details: Zelenskyy noted the work of Ukrainian soldiers in the Bakhmut area, in particular the Shaman special unit of Defence Intelligence, as well as the border guards of the Luhansk detachment, who, along with the fighters of the International Legion, are inflicting numerous losses on the enemy and driving the occupiers out of their positions on the outskirts of Bakhmut.
Quote: "Each such result, and each day of the enemy's failures on the Bakhmut front and in Donbas in general, causes a significant weakening of the aggressor state.
The occupiers have been postponing the date when they expect to capture the entire area of Donbas for the last six months. They were expecting to do it by New Year’s Eve; and here, once again, our defenders are succeeding.
The invaders are constantly increasing their forces in Donetsk Oblast; they are doing it now as well. Every day of such results, every day of the enemy's failures in the area of Bakhmut and in Donbas in general, is further proof of the insanity of the very idea of attacking Ukraine. If only news like this from the front can bring back a sense of reality to everyone in Russia, we will have to provide them with as much of it as possible."
Details: Zelenskyy emphasised that the Russian terrorists must lose, despite everything they try to do to replenish their forces.
He also called France's decision to provide Ukraine with French-made wheeled tanks "a relevant signal before the next Ramstein [the international conference set up to discuss the Russian invasion of Ukraine – ed.]."
