Zelenskyy talks with Trudeau about increasing pressure on Russia

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a telephone conversation with Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, on 3 January. The heads of state talked about increasing pressure on the Russian Federation.

Quote from Zelenskyy: "I had a conversation with the Prime Minister of Canada, and this is the fourth international conversation today [3 January]. The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, the Prime Minister of Norway. And now Justin Trudeau.

I am grateful to Canada for its unwavering defence, sanction and financial support. We discussed with Prime Minister Trudeau how we can further increase pressure on Russia. It feels like Canadian assistance to our defence will remain strong this year."
