Medvedev proposes to legalise "intellectual" piracy in Russia

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation has suggested legalising intellectual piracy in Russia in terms of cinema and industrial software.

Details: Medvedev has once again asserted that Western sanctions "failed miserably". According to him, Russia has successfully found a replacement for the majority of industrial products and consumer goods. 

Quote: "The only thing left is to legalise the use of their [Western – ed.] intellectual property. Without all kinds of licences and payment of royalties. This, apart from everything, will be our respective sanctions on their property rights.

[It includes] everything: from movies to industrial software. Thank you, by the way, to those who developed various programs for licence-free use of their expensive intellectual products. In short, for pirate use under the regime of personal sanctions."
