Quote: "The enemy has blockaded the village of Polovynkine near Starobilsk, allegedly for ‘filtration measures’. The reason was successful airstrikes on positions of Russian occupiers, so the occupiers accused the local residents of helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 30 residents of the village had already been taken to Luhansk as a result of the raid."
Details: At the same time, the hospitals in the oblast centre are overcrowded with wounded Russians.
Only wounded convicts who were imprisoned for either murder or rape are taken to Bilovodsk district. The situation in Bilovodsk is getting tense because the local so-called "law enforcement officers'' cannot guarantee the safety of the civilian population.
Luhansk Oblast Military Administration recalled that the Russians have banned the circulation of the hryvnia in the temporarily occupied territories since 1 January. But local residents are ignoring this, so hryvnias continue to be accepted in markets and small shops.
Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are getting closer to victory every day. Thus, over the past day, units from the Defence Forces repelled attacks by the occupiers near the settlements of Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Ploshchanka and Bilohorivka.
On the Kupiansk front, the Russians used artillery to attack the areas of the settlements of Novoselivske, Andriivka and Stelmakhivka.
On the Lyman front, tank, mortar and artillery attacks were recorded in the vicinities of Makiivka, Ploshchanka, Nevske, Chervonopivka and Dibrova.
Aircraft from Ukraine’s Defence Forces carried out 13 strikes on clusters of Russian military personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as five strikes on anti-aircraft missile system positions.
Over the course of 2 January, Ukrainian defenders shot down a Russian Ka-52 helicopter and three reconnaissance Orlan-10 UAVs.
In addition, Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery units inflicted fire damage to an area where Russian manpower and military equipment were concentrated, as well as to a Russian radar station.
