Ukrainian defence forces strike 13 Russian concentrations and 2 air defence systems – General Staff report

Over the course of the past 24 hours, Ukraine's defence forces repelled several Russian assaults and struck 13 areas where Russian troops were concentrated, as well as Russian air defence equipment, anti-aircraft missile systems, and other military targets.

Quote from the General Staff: "Over the course of the past 24 hours, Russian occupation forces carried out 10 missile strikes, including one on civilian infrastructure facilities in Zaporizhzhia, 26 airstrikes and 81 attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS), including several on civilian facilities in Ochakiv. There are civilian casualties and fatalities."

Details: Russian forces are continuing to carry out offensive operations on the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka fronts. They are defending their positions on the Kupiansk, Lyman, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts.

Over the course of 27 January, Ukraine’s defence forces repelled Russian attacks in the vicinity of Bilohorivka (Luhansk Oblast) and Rozdolivka, Krasna Hora, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Druzhba, Vodiane, Marinka, Pobieda, Vuhledar and Prechystivka (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Sivershchyna front, Russian forces deployed mortars to attack areas in the vicinity of Mykolaivka (Chernihiv Oblast) and Rozhkovychi and Bachivsk (Sumy Oblast).

Russian forces are continuing to shell settlements along the entire line of contact on the Slobozhanshchyna front. Over 30 settlements came under Russian fire, including Huriv Kozachok, Krasne, Starytsia, Okhrimivka, Varvarivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne and Kupiansk (Kharkiv Oblast).

The Russians shelled more than 25 settlements on the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, including Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Krokhmalne and Berestove (Kharkiv Oblast) and Novoselivske, Makiivka, Chervonopopivka and Dibrova (Luhansk Oblast).

More than 40 settlements came under Russian fire on the Bakhmut front, including Spirne, Verkhnokamianske, Rozdolivka, Vesele, Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka, Maiorsk, Druzhba, Pivnichne, Zalizne and Toretsk (Donetsk Oblast).

On the Avdiivka front, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Vesele, Vodiane, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka came under Russian fire.

On the Novopavlivka front, Russian forces once again shelled Bohoiavlenka, Vuhledar and Zolota Nyva.

On the Zaporizhzhia front, a total of more than 30 cities, towns and villages sustained Russian attacks, including Zalizne, Illinka, Vremivka and Novopil (Donetsk Oblast) and Olhivske, Poltavka, Malynivka, Chervone, Huliaipole, Staroukrainka, Charivne, Orikhiv, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka and Kamianske (Zaporizhzhia Oblast).

On the Kherson front, Russian forces deployed MLRS, tubed artillery and mortars to fire on areas in and around Zolota Balka, Havrylivka, Dudchany, Chervonyi Maiak, Monastyrske, Tomaryne, Burhunka, Tiahynka, Komyshany and Kherson.

Ukrainian aircraft carried out eight airstrikes on concentrations of Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment and one on a Russian anti-aircraft missile system.

Ukrainian defence forces shot down a Russian Su-25 aircraft, a Mi-8 helicopter and two Supercam UAVs.

Ukraine's Rocket Forces and Artillery struck two Russian command posts, two air defence systems and five concentrations of Russian troops.
