Ukrainian military arrive in Germany for training on Marder infantry fighting vehicles
The first Ukrainian soldiers have arrived in Germany to undergo training on Marder infantry fighting vehicles (IFV).

Details: The group arrived in Cologne, Germany on 26 January and is set to begin training on the IFVs shortly. The training is part of military assistance to Ukraine, which will also receive 40 Marder IVFs.
In addition to the armoured vehicles, the aid package will include seven Gepard self-propelled air defence systems, additional guided missiles for the Iris-T air defence system and another Iris-T air defence missile system.
As was reported previously, Berlin has also decided to supply tanks. Germany will soon start training the Ukrainian military on the Leopard main battle tanks (MBT).
Background: In addition to the Leopard 2 company [14 tanks – ed.], Poland plans to provide Ukraine with 60 more modernised tanks, including the PT-91 Twardy.
