Zelenskyy on new Russian attacks: This can only be stopped with proper weapons

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that the new Russian massive drone and missile attacks on Ukraine prove that Ukraine needs adequate weapons, as it is impossible to persuade Russia otherwise.

Quote: "Today we have endured another massive missile attack by the terrorists. The attack, which fully confirms everything discussed with our partners, shows that Russian aggression can and must only be stopped with adequate weapons. A terrorist state cannot be persuaded by other means.

We need weapons on the contact line. Weapons that protect our skies. We need new sanctions against Russia that are a political and economic weapon. And legal weapons: we must work even harder to create a tribunal for prosecuting the Russian crime of aggression against Ukraine and compensating all damage caused by this war at the expense of Russian assets."

Details: The president reported that the Ukrainian air defence shot down the majority of Russian missiles and Shahed drones, but there were strikes and people were killed and injured.

"It is hard to provide 100% protection by air defence alone, especially when the terrorists are using ballistic missiles," Zelenskyy stated.

He added that "the Russian terror requires an asymmetric response and a new movement at the contact line".

Zelenskyy stressed that every Russian missile launched at the Ukrainian cities, every Iran-made drone used by the terrorists are arguments as to why more weapons are needed. He believes that "only weapons defeat terrorists".

The president reported that Ukraine is expanding the tank coalition: "Canada has made a corresponding decision, and I am thankful for this. There are already 12 countries in our coalition".
