Farewell to Interior Ministry leaders who died in Brovary to take place in Kyiv on Saturday
A farewell ceremony with the leadership and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who died in the helicopter crash in Brovary, Kyiv Oblast, will be held at the Ukrainian House National Centre in Kyiv, on 21 January.

Details: A farewell ceremony for the personnel of the Special Aviation Unit of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, which included Oleksandr Vasylenko (commander of the aircraft and instructor for the Special Purpose Aviation Squadron), Kostyantyn Kovalenko (a pilot in the same squadron), and Ivan Kasyanov (the squadron's on-board mechanic), will be held on 21 January at 13:00 in the city of Nizhyn, Chernihiv Oblast (helipad No. 4 of the local airfield).
Background:
- On the morning of 18 January, a helicopter crashed near a kindergarten in Brovary in Kyiv Oblast, causing a fire.
- The helicopter crash killed the top leadership of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs: Denys Monastyrskyi, Minister of Internal Affairs, Yevhen Yenin, First Deputy Interior Minister, and Yurii Lubkovych, three of the Interior Minister's aides and security guards. The data on the number of dead has differed. According to the clarified information as of 15:00, 14 dead people were found at the place of the helicopter crash, including 1 child.
