MP Sjoerd Sjoerdsma from D66 called on the government to provide Ukraine with infantry fighting vehicles and F-16 fighter jets during the debate.
Vopke Hoekstra said that the government is potentially ready to discuss such a request from Ukraine. There was no more detailed explanation from the Foreign Affairs Minister.
He also noted that there is "no taboo" on the supply of regular weapons, and everything provided by the Netherlands is provided at the request of Ukraine.
Defence Minister Kajsa Ollongren previously stated that the Netherlands is ready to finance the transfer of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, which will be provided by other allies, just as they already helped with the delivery of Soviet T-72s from the Czech Republic.
In a separate interview with Reuters, she said that the Netherlands is finalising plans to provide Patriot air defence systems to Ukraine, which were announced earlier by Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
