Military exercises in Belarus extended again, to last at least until end of January

Joint exercises of the Armed Forces of Belarus and Russia on the Belarusian territory have been extended until at least January 30.

Details: According to the exercise schedule, 20-21 January will be a day off for some training grounds, while others, where the Russian Armed Forces are concentrated, will continue to work without interruption.

In general, the training was extended from 23 January on:

  • Barysaŭ 227th Combined Arms training ground (Barysaŭ district) until 28.01;
  • Hozha training ground of the 6th Air Assault Brigade (Hrodna district) until 29.01;
  • Brest training ground of the 38th Air Assault Brigade (Brest district) until 28.01;
  • Asipovichy training ground of the 51st Artillery Brigade (Asipovichy district) until 29.01;
  • Niman 212nd aircraft training ground (Novogrudok district) until 27.01;
  • Obuz-Lesnovsky 230th Combined Arms Training Ground  (Baranavichy district)  until 30.01;
  • Domanovo 174th training ground of the Air Force and air defence forces (Ivatsevichy district) until 29.01;
  • Lyepyel training ground of the 19th Separate Mechanised Brigade (Lyepyel district) until 29.01.

It is also reported that on 19 January, exercises began at another training ground – the 210th aviation training ground of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces (Ruzhany training ground). So far, they have been scheduled for 19 and 20 January. 

Belaruski Hajun reminds us that exercises at Belarusian training grounds have been continuously held since 29 April 2022. The government extends them all the time.
