Ukrainian border guards kill over dozen occupiers in two battles in Bakhmut
On 2 January, Ukrainian border guards took part in two fierce battles in the city of Bakhmut and near the village of Pidhorodne [Donetsk Oblast – ed.], repelling an attack by the Russian invaders and killing more than a dozen soldiers.

Details: According to Ukrainska Pravda's sources, border guards in Bakhmut, together with a Special Operations Forces unit, destroyed two Russian observation posts towards the evening.
That afternoon they had foiled an attempt by the occupiers to storm the village of Pidhorodne.
Early reports indicate that the defenders killed five invaders in Bakhmut and seven near Pidhorodne. Over 10 invaders were wounded.
Ukrainska Pravda sources noted that there were no casualties among the Ukrainian forces.
